My Summer Goals For This Blog

I haven't posted very much on this blog over the past several months due to being busy with school work, but I hope that over this summer I will post more articles. While my primary goal is to write more, I also have a few other goals that I hope to accomplish this summer. Here are those goals:

• I hope to finish the story about my adventure in finding an ancestor's grave. I began the story shortly after I started this blog a few years ago, but I haven't finished it. I am sure that some of my readers have been wondering about the conclusion of this story, and it is something that I have been promising to finish since I started the series.
• I also hope to finish taking pictures of the tombstones in the Placeway/Whitcomb Cemetery. A couple summers ago, I took pictures of about half of the cemetery, and since then, I have been wanting to finish taking pictures of the cemetery. I just haven't had the time to finish photographing the cemetery. Hopefully, once I finish photographing the cemetery, I'll be able to post images of the tombstones on this blog. (Of course, I haven't finished posting all of the photos I took of the first half, either. So, I plan to do that as well.)
• I also hope to write the articles on the Beard, Prairie River and Placeway/Whitcomb Cemeteries that I promised to write over the past few years.
• Lastly, I hope to develop the film of photographs I took of my ancestors' tombstones several years ago that haven't been developed yet. (I will probably then post them on this site.)
  

So, as you can see, I have several goals for this blog this summer. I don't know if I will be able to accomplish all of them, but I would like to complete a couple of them. I probably won't be able to start June, but stay tuned for the upcoming posts in the next couple of months. Until then, enjoy!

Tombstone Tuesday: Elizabeth's Stone - Revisited

For this Tombstone Tuesday, I am posting two images of a tombstone that I had previously shared on this blog. As you can tell, this grave is for a woman named Elizabeth, but unfortunately I cannot make out who her husband was. I would have to do some research to figure out what her last name was. I posted two photographs so that you might be able to remember my first post on this stone. Enjoy!

I just want to let everyone know that I am planning to post the fourth part on my Wild Goose Chase research story soon. I do not know exactly when I will post it, but I am hoping to do so soon. Stay tuned ...

As I mentioned last week, I was not be able to post part two for awhile because of my school work. Well, I am now home, so hopefully within the next few days I'll have part two posted! Stay tuned ...

I've Added a Coming Soon Section!

As you can see, I've added a coming soon section to this page to give my readers a heads up as to what I will be posting on in the future. At the moment, I have only posted my plans for future articles on the Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville. In the future, I plan to add more cemeteries to the list, but for the next couple of weeks, I do not plan to post on any other cemeteries other than Prairie River Cemetery. I hope you enjoy these future posts!
